Katharine Bussert is a Licensed Social Worker whose primary modalities are Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), and Mindful Self-Compassion. Her practice is grounded in the belief that self-compassion is not a luxury — it is a clinical skill that profoundly changes how clients relate to their own pain, fear, and self-criticism.
She specializes in anxiety, trauma, grief, childhood and adolescent mental health, and life transitions across the lifespan. Katharine’s Italian Greyhound therapy dog Winnie joins her in-person sessions at the Strongsville office, offering a calm, grounding presence that many clients find especially supportive. Animal-assisted sessions are always optional.
Katharine sees clients in person at Strongsville and via telehealth for clients anywhere in Ohio.
